Matt is a strategic business executive with expertise in executive talent acquisition, human capital consulting and organizational development. Having accumulated over 20 years of executive search experience in Asia, Matt has partnered with all kinds of businesses from start-ups to Fortune 100 companies across a range of industries and functions. 

A trusted advisor and business partner to senior leaders in the region, his clients look to him as a partner to solve their toughest talent and leadership challenges. Adept at identifying and recruiting leaders to take companies to the next level, he serves clients in Asia to locate future-ready leaders that can create or enable value and positively impact business performance.

He has a deep understanding of Asia and has worked on hundreds of search engagements across the region, including Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, Macau, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, India, Pakistan, Japan and South Korea. 

Matt’s broad functional expertise includes sales, marketing, finance, operations, HR, compliance, corporate development and digital transformation, predominantly working with clients across the retail, consumer and industrial sectors. 

Before founding ETR Partners, Matt worked for some of the world’s leading global executive search organizations. Prior to working in the recruitment industry, Matt worked for a global financial markets information company in Hong Kong. Born and raised in Hong Kong, he received his tertiary education in Nottingham in the UK where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Management.
